Product Reviews - Purex Crystals and Jockey

As I am a Purex Insider, it is my due diligence to conduct product reviews. I am actually enjoying the products that I have so far been chosen to review.

I think this one is the best yet! Purex and Jockey have teamed up to have me try 2 A-MAZING PRODUCTS. The Jockey Tech Terry sports bra and Purex Crystals.

I must start at the beginning…with the Purex Crystals. First of all…I didn’t know that you are not supposed to use fabric softener on active wear! That’s probably why my sports bras never last for long…I’m a fabric softener addict! This is because the oil in liquid fabric softeners can hinder the wicking process.

At any rate, Purex Crystals in Tropical Splash...can chase away clouds! I'm so serious. My laundry room is in my bedroom closet. When you open the container...the scent immediately hits you and makes you smile. Well it made me smile. So on to the softening of the fabrics...I washed the Jockey bra in a load of undergarments and added the Crystals. My entire house was filled with the most wonderful aroma of fresh laundry and I just wanted to wash clothes all day so the scent wouldn't stop. This stuff is amazing. For realz. Over a week later the unworn/unused garments STILL had the scent. You can't get that with liquids. If you know of one that lasts that long without being wrapped in plastic, let me know.

Jockey has invented this super-horse of a bra. Not only does the thing hold the girlies in place, but it does so with minimizing the moisture that is retained there within (lol I crack myself up). How many times have you went for a walk/run/workout/stroll whatever...and had to lug your heavy key chain? This bra has a pocket specifically made for a key!
While I'm not at the point where I can flaunt my stuff with just a sports bra on...the design is attractive and very breathable.

Jockey is offering  my readers a 20% off coupon for this sports bra!

This is perfect for those trying to keep those New Year's Resolutions for staying/becoming active!
We say thank you to Purex and Jockey for creating such fabulous products. I have made the switch to the Crystals in my household...I think you should give them a try!

And since Purex and Jockey love that YOU love to read about their exciting new is

Pura Vida!

Hey y'all!

I keep making promises to do better about posting and then I break those promises. So I won't make any such promise this time!

I wanted to give you all a little run down on a trip I recently took (and LOVED). Two of my sisters and my two best friends and I decided to make a run for the equator. To Costa Rica! We started planning pretty early and got tickets and such purchased. We stayed in Jaco (pronounced Haa-CO). I'm still not sure I'm saying that correctly. You should have seen the looks on the immigration officer's face when I pronounced it as it is spelled. I'm pretty sure he called me an ignorant American.

Anywho, we flew from Charleston because they had the better fares and schedules at the time that we booked. Charleston to Miami to Jan Santamaria Airport. Something happened on our flight and me and my bestie were asked to move to another seat. It was actually better seats than what we had. Since we were so accommodating, we were given some l…

Soup(er) Sunday!

This past Sunday I hosted a Crafty with Canon party. I won the party through House Party (I love this site!).

Initially I was planning to do a few different finger foods. Well, the temperature dropped and I wanted soup. And chili. So I made both! And my sister also made a soup that was super delicious. I used my usual go to chili recipe, except I doubled up the seasonings because I didn't have a chili seasoning pack. I think it actually tasted better! I made it in my electric pressure cooker! It was so much faster and it tasted better than it usually does. I'm in love with my pressure cooker and would like another one. Anyone have one they want to give me?

Anyway, we had fun exploring the Canon Pixma printer and printing out photos and making cute little frames! But the food was really the star of the show! I'm going to link to all of the recipes because aside from small adjustments, none of them were my own!

Broccoli and Cheese Soup.
This was a big hit! It was my first tim…

Black Panther: Movie Review

Please tell me y'all have seen the movie? If you haven't, don't read this post!

Let me give you a little bit of my back story on this Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a Marvel fan. I don't read the comics, but the movies?! I'm here for them. Some of them are blah, but I watch them anyway. Why? Because usually they overlap and share stories. So, in preparation for the opening of Black Panther, I watched ALL of the Marvel movies in order of the stories, not the release date. I followed CNET's guide and it was pretty accurate. I did not watch the TV shows because I would still be watching. You don't have to. The movies will fill you in pretty well.

Now, for what I thought.

1. This movie was beautiful! The colors, the wardrobes, the technology, the natural hair, the beautiful black people that starred in this film, it was amazing!

2. The women. OMG. The WOMEN! The strong women in the movie inspired me. Okoye makes me want to shave my hair back off. Nakia makes …
