Giveaway!!! Honey Bunches of Oats!

Let me start this post off by saying, I am not a cereal eater. I have never been a cereal eater. I probably never will be a cereal eater.

Now that that's out of the way. I was sent a box of Honey Bunches of Oats to sample. It is a new and improved version and they have added more granola per box. Are you excited?! You should be! :)

Honey Bunches of Oats is one of America's most popular cereal. And I must admit, that on the occasion that I eat cereal, it is one of my choices. There are many different flavors to suite an array of taste buds.

Now, I hear you asking me..."Why don't you like cereal?" I have always been a grits, bacon and eggs kind of girl. Even when I weighed 110 pounds I preferred a hot meal. Cereal never sticks with me long.

So, what's the big difference with the new Honey Bunches of Oats?

Contains 10 grams of Whole Grain...you know that whole grains are good for you right?
6 grams of sugar versus the older Honey Bunches that had 9 grams.
Provides 9 essential vitamins and minerals...no I don't know what they are! LOL
MORE CRUNCHY BUNCHES!!! That's what you were waiting for!

I did eat the whole bowl of cereal that I poured myself up so hey...something must be good!!! I will admit, it had a lot of granola in it too.

Post sent me a sample of the Honey Roasted Honey Bunches of Oats to try, but all opinions expressed here are my own...because this is my blog LOL!

You can find out more information about the transformed cereal at www.facebook.com/HoneyBunchesofOats

Black Panther: Movie Review

Please tell me y'all have seen the movie? If you haven't, don't read this post!

Let me give you a little bit of my back story on this Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a Marvel fan. I don't read the comics, but the movies?! I'm here for them. Some of them are blah, but I watch them anyway. Why? Because usually they overlap and share stories. So, in preparation for the opening of Black Panther, I watched ALL of the Marvel movies in order of the stories, not the release date. I followed CNET's guide and it was pretty accurate. I did not watch the TV shows because I would still be watching. You don't have to. The movies will fill you in pretty well.

Now, for what I thought.

1. This movie was beautiful! The colors, the wardrobes, the technology, the natural hair, the beautiful black people that starred in this film, it was amazing!

2. The women. OMG. The WOMEN! The strong women in the movie inspired me. Okoye makes me want to shave my hair back off. Nakia makes …

Pura Vida!

Hey y'all!

I keep making promises to do better about posting and then I break those promises. So I won't make any such promise this time!

I wanted to give you all a little run down on a trip I recently took (and LOVED). Two of my sisters and my two best friends and I decided to make a run for the equator. To Costa Rica! We started planning pretty early and got tickets and such purchased. We stayed in Jaco (pronounced Haa-CO). I'm still not sure I'm saying that correctly. You should have seen the looks on the immigration officer's face when I pronounced it as it is spelled. I'm pretty sure he called me an ignorant American.

Anywho, we flew from Charleston because they had the better fares and schedules at the time that we booked. Charleston to Miami to Jan Santamaria Airport. Something happened on our flight and me and my bestie were asked to move to another seat. It was actually better seats than what we had. Since we were so accommodating, we were given some l…

Soup(er) Sunday!

This past Sunday I hosted a Crafty with Canon party. I won the party through House Party (I love this site!).

Initially I was planning to do a few different finger foods. Well, the temperature dropped and I wanted soup. And chili. So I made both! And my sister also made a soup that was super delicious. I used my usual go to chili recipe, except I doubled up the seasonings because I didn't have a chili seasoning pack. I think it actually tasted better! I made it in my electric pressure cooker! It was so much faster and it tasted better than it usually does. I'm in love with my pressure cooker and would like another one. Anyone have one they want to give me?

Anyway, we had fun exploring the Canon Pixma printer and printing out photos and making cute little frames! But the food was really the star of the show! I'm going to link to all of the recipes because aside from small adjustments, none of them were my own!
