I Think You Should Know...

That I've been keeping a secret!

For those of you that are my Facebook friends, I revealed this secret to you on this past Tuesday. It's only fair that I share it with the rest of you! I know I have been slack (for lack of a better word) in my blogging for er...a good little while. Well it hasn't been just because I've fallen off. I. Am. Pregnant!! Insert jumps for joy here!

I didn't want to spill the beans too soon. Despite my tongue-clipping best efforts, my family managed to spread the news before I could even share in my own little way. Why did I hold this in? Nothing is guaranteed. This being my first pregnancy, I didn't know what to expect and what would/could happen. But I am very happy to announce that so far so good! I am about to hit 20 weeks (and man they have been 20 loonnng weeks).

Life is full of so many uncertainties. And while this was not planned...it has made me experience love on a level that I didn't even know existed! I hope and pray that I am a great mother to my little darling...I really didn't know if God would ever allow me to assist in one of His wonderful, awesome and amazing creations! Thank You God for continuing to bless me in spite of myself!

This little bean has given me a run for my money! It has been a long road but I can't wait to kiss my baby's face! Here is a little photo journey...some pictures I was scantily clad so I had to omit those! LOL

Most people don't know dates...but I keep track of EVERYTHING! Call me OCD and I will proudly acknowledge the fact!

The night of CONCEPTION

The day I found out I was WITH CHILD - No drinking at this party!

And I was in my new house!

14 weeks, 3 days...when I POPPED

I had to tell people "No, I'm not getting fat!"

19 weeks, 2 days...IT'S A GIRL!!! We were watching a paternity episode on Maury! LOL
I have a million and one stories to tell about this pregnancy so far! I will save that for another post. I just wanted to share my joy with you guys! Thanks for stopping by and I am going to try my best to step up my blogging game!!

XOXO

Black Panther: Movie Review

Please tell me y'all have seen the movie? If you haven't, don't read this post!

Let me give you a little bit of my back story on this Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a Marvel fan. I don't read the comics, but the movies?! I'm here for them. Some of them are blah, but I watch them anyway. Why? Because usually they overlap and share stories. So, in preparation for the opening of Black Panther, I watched ALL of the Marvel movies in order of the stories, not the release date. I followed CNET's guide and it was pretty accurate. I did not watch the TV shows because I would still be watching. You don't have to. The movies will fill you in pretty well.

Now, for what I thought.

1. This movie was beautiful! The colors, the wardrobes, the technology, the natural hair, the beautiful black people that starred in this film, it was amazing!

2. The women. OMG. The WOMEN! The strong women in the movie inspired me. Okoye makes me want to shave my hair back off. Nakia makes …

Pura Vida!

Hey y'all!

I keep making promises to do better about posting and then I break those promises. So I won't make any such promise this time!

I wanted to give you all a little run down on a trip I recently took (and LOVED). Two of my sisters and my two best friends and I decided to make a run for the equator. To Costa Rica! We started planning pretty early and got tickets and such purchased. We stayed in Jaco (pronounced Haa-CO). I'm still not sure I'm saying that correctly. You should have seen the looks on the immigration officer's face when I pronounced it as it is spelled. I'm pretty sure he called me an ignorant American.

Anywho, we flew from Charleston because they had the better fares and schedules at the time that we booked. Charleston to Miami to Jan Santamaria Airport. Something happened on our flight and me and my bestie were asked to move to another seat. It was actually better seats than what we had. Since we were so accommodating, we were given some l…

Soup(er) Sunday!

This past Sunday I hosted a Crafty with Canon party. I won the party through House Party (I love this site!).

Initially I was planning to do a few different finger foods. Well, the temperature dropped and I wanted soup. And chili. So I made both! And my sister also made a soup that was super delicious. I used my usual go to chili recipe, except I doubled up the seasonings because I didn't have a chili seasoning pack. I think it actually tasted better! I made it in my electric pressure cooker! It was so much faster and it tasted better than it usually does. I'm in love with my pressure cooker and would like another one. Anyone have one they want to give me?

Anyway, we had fun exploring the Canon Pixma printer and printing out photos and making cute little frames! But the food was really the star of the show! I'm going to link to all of the recipes because aside from small adjustments, none of them were my own!
