Never Let Them See You Sweat!

And a GIVEAWAY!!

You guys remember me telling you how I had the whole fiasco of me "losing" my bag on the way to Houston for All Star Weekend right? If you don't, you can read about it here. Well, during that whole f*ed up situation, I had to RUN. And yes I know everybody is on this whole "Black Girls Run" thing...but I don't! I know it is good for me but I seriously swore it off when I left the US Army. For reals.

But anywho, so of course by the time I reach my seat on the plane, luckily it was changed from 25C to 13C ( I honestly don't think I would have made it to the back of the plane without collapsing) I was drenched in sweat. But not from my underarms! Overshare I know, but this all has a point! I was wearing Dry Idea's New AdvanceDry Fresh deodorant.

As a person who doesn't even remember the last time I worked out, I do remember that for me, some deodorants just do not work. I'm not much of a fan of roll ons, but since I was sent this one to test, of course  I'm going to use it! DUH! I didn't, however have it in my carry-on since the bottle is over the 3 oz mark. Which wouldn't have mattered anyway since I didn't see my bag until the week after I returned home. Oh yeah. I did finally get my bag back.

I have reviewed a product from Dry Idea before and I must honestly say that this one dries much, much faster. Now I wouldn't speed race to put my shirt on immediately after application, but it does dry faster than the other one.

But guess what, should you win a coupon in THIS giveaway, you have a choice of the clear gel or the roll on. I bet I know which most of you would pick, but I won't take a survey LOL.

I have extremely sensitive skin, so I have to be careful about what I use on my delicate areas. This deodorant is hypoallergenic and is infused with Vitamin E. It is fast drying and leaves a silky-smooth feel. Not all clumps and bumps like you can get from some other brands. I'm sorry but you guys know exactly what I'm talking about!

The roll on is available in Unscented, Powder Fresh and Regular. The clear gel is available in Unscented and Powder Fresh.

Visit www.dryidea.com for more information on the products.

Black Panther: Movie Review

Please tell me y'all have seen the movie? If you haven't, don't read this post!

Let me give you a little bit of my back story on this Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a Marvel fan. I don't read the comics, but the movies?! I'm here for them. Some of them are blah, but I watch them anyway. Why? Because usually they overlap and share stories. So, in preparation for the opening of Black Panther, I watched ALL of the Marvel movies in order of the stories, not the release date. I followed CNET's guide and it was pretty accurate. I did not watch the TV shows because I would still be watching. You don't have to. The movies will fill you in pretty well.

Now, for what I thought.

1. This movie was beautiful! The colors, the wardrobes, the technology, the natural hair, the beautiful black people that starred in this film, it was amazing!

2. The women. OMG. The WOMEN! The strong women in the movie inspired me. Okoye makes me want to shave my hair back off. Nakia makes …

Pura Vida!

Hey y'all!

I keep making promises to do better about posting and then I break those promises. So I won't make any such promise this time!

I wanted to give you all a little run down on a trip I recently took (and LOVED). Two of my sisters and my two best friends and I decided to make a run for the equator. To Costa Rica! We started planning pretty early and got tickets and such purchased. We stayed in Jaco (pronounced Haa-CO). I'm still not sure I'm saying that correctly. You should have seen the looks on the immigration officer's face when I pronounced it as it is spelled. I'm pretty sure he called me an ignorant American.

Anywho, we flew from Charleston because they had the better fares and schedules at the time that we booked. Charleston to Miami to Jan Santamaria Airport. Something happened on our flight and me and my bestie were asked to move to another seat. It was actually better seats than what we had. Since we were so accommodating, we were given some l…

Soup(er) Sunday!

This past Sunday I hosted a Crafty with Canon party. I won the party through House Party (I love this site!).

Initially I was planning to do a few different finger foods. Well, the temperature dropped and I wanted soup. And chili. So I made both! And my sister also made a soup that was super delicious. I used my usual go to chili recipe, except I doubled up the seasonings because I didn't have a chili seasoning pack. I think it actually tasted better! I made it in my electric pressure cooker! It was so much faster and it tasted better than it usually does. I'm in love with my pressure cooker and would like another one. Anyone have one they want to give me?

Anyway, we had fun exploring the Canon Pixma printer and printing out photos and making cute little frames! But the food was really the star of the show! I'm going to link to all of the recipes because aside from small adjustments, none of them were my own!
