Soft Scrub Advanced Surface and a GIVEAWAY!!

**If you previously entered this giveaway, please enter again! I had technical difficulties with the previous form.**

This product was sent to me right on time. I've never had a glass cooktop stove. My method of cleaning is to wipe what I can and search Pinterest later for ways to get it really clean. So far I haven't done the latter lol.

Soft Scrub sent me their latest product to review. Soft Scrub Advanced Surface. This product was formulated for your most delicate surfaces...granite and marble countertops, glass cooktops, and stainless steel. It comes in a rinse-free gel that you apply and just wipe away with a damp cloth or sponge. Well, this is my cooktop before.

And of course I let it get this grungy (is that how you spell that?) just so I could review this product! Don't judge me! LOL

I read the instructions and applied the product. It says for tough stains, let it penetrate for up to one minute...I felt like mine needed more than a minute, but I wasn't going to push it.

I used a damp cloth to wipe after about 1 minute.

Can you tell the difference? I most certainly can. Although I'm still going to search Pinterest for ways to get all the cooked on scum off. There has to be a way! But the cooktop is shiny and clean. I'm pleased for now. I really didn't expect for it to remove years of built up grime, but it did remove some of it that is more recent. Every time I cook I thank the previous homeowner for leaving this task for me lol.

With that being said...GIVEAWAY TIME!!

This giveaway is now closed! Thanks to all that entered! Come back soon!

Good luck!

Black Panther: Movie Review

Please tell me y'all have seen the movie? If you haven't, don't read this post!

Let me give you a little bit of my back story on this Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a Marvel fan. I don't read the comics, but the movies?! I'm here for them. Some of them are blah, but I watch them anyway. Why? Because usually they overlap and share stories. So, in preparation for the opening of Black Panther, I watched ALL of the Marvel movies in order of the stories, not the release date. I followed CNET's guide and it was pretty accurate. I did not watch the TV shows because I would still be watching. You don't have to. The movies will fill you in pretty well.

Now, for what I thought.

1. This movie was beautiful! The colors, the wardrobes, the technology, the natural hair, the beautiful black people that starred in this film, it was amazing!

2. The women. OMG. The WOMEN! The strong women in the movie inspired me. Okoye makes me want to shave my hair back off. Nakia makes …

Pura Vida!

Hey y'all!

I keep making promises to do better about posting and then I break those promises. So I won't make any such promise this time!

I wanted to give you all a little run down on a trip I recently took (and LOVED). Two of my sisters and my two best friends and I decided to make a run for the equator. To Costa Rica! We started planning pretty early and got tickets and such purchased. We stayed in Jaco (pronounced Haa-CO). I'm still not sure I'm saying that correctly. You should have seen the looks on the immigration officer's face when I pronounced it as it is spelled. I'm pretty sure he called me an ignorant American.

Anywho, we flew from Charleston because they had the better fares and schedules at the time that we booked. Charleston to Miami to Jan Santamaria Airport. Something happened on our flight and me and my bestie were asked to move to another seat. It was actually better seats than what we had. Since we were so accommodating, we were given some l…

Soup(er) Sunday!

This past Sunday I hosted a Crafty with Canon party. I won the party through House Party (I love this site!).

Initially I was planning to do a few different finger foods. Well, the temperature dropped and I wanted soup. And chili. So I made both! And my sister also made a soup that was super delicious. I used my usual go to chili recipe, except I doubled up the seasonings because I didn't have a chili seasoning pack. I think it actually tasted better! I made it in my electric pressure cooker! It was so much faster and it tasted better than it usually does. I'm in love with my pressure cooker and would like another one. Anyone have one they want to give me?

Anyway, we had fun exploring the Canon Pixma printer and printing out photos and making cute little frames! But the food was really the star of the show! I'm going to link to all of the recipes because aside from small adjustments, none of them were my own!
