Baby Magic is 4 Months Old!

Technically she's 19 1/2 weeks old, but who's counting?! ( I totally am, but I realize that drives some people nuts...). Any who, I digress.

I had my little stinker Baptized about two weeks ago and she she was so adorable! I debated with myself about buying a Christening gown...but in the end I'm glad I did. Now I need to sell it so email me if you're interested!

So what else is going on these days? I'm back to being sleep deprived. She's waking up like she's a newborn so mommy isn't getting much sleep. I need to quit reading blogs because I swear nothing happens until I read about it (hence this 4 month sleep regression). LOL

She's mastered sucking her thumb and I'm trying to master her out of it! Anybody know how I can break that? Not her thumb...the habit!

She exhibits so much personality now! She doesn't like anyone to give her her pacifier...although she can't quite get it in her mouth yet. She's trying to hold her bottle - with one hand, kinda gangster style and she's sitting up unassisted for about 10 seconds. I'm proud of her! She's such a joy! I was so worried about her not smiling when the "books" told me she should be smiling and now all she does is smile and giggle! Hopefully she won't freeze up when we go take pictures later this week! She also has random conversations with the ceiling fans and is very chatty overall! Her favorite story for me to read is Kiss, Kiss but she seems to really like any story time! She is a freaking TV fanatic! Which at times it's very helpful...but I know I'm gonna pay later.

I just wanted to give you guys an update and say HEY!!!

Wishing you all the best of holidays!

Black Panther: Movie Review

Please tell me y'all have seen the movie? If you haven't, don't read this post!

Let me give you a little bit of my back story on this Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a Marvel fan. I don't read the comics, but the movies?! I'm here for them. Some of them are blah, but I watch them anyway. Why? Because usually they overlap and share stories. So, in preparation for the opening of Black Panther, I watched ALL of the Marvel movies in order of the stories, not the release date. I followed CNET's guide and it was pretty accurate. I did not watch the TV shows because I would still be watching. You don't have to. The movies will fill you in pretty well.

Now, for what I thought.

1. This movie was beautiful! The colors, the wardrobes, the technology, the natural hair, the beautiful black people that starred in this film, it was amazing!

2. The women. OMG. The WOMEN! The strong women in the movie inspired me. Okoye makes me want to shave my hair back off. Nakia makes …

Pura Vida!

Hey y'all!

I keep making promises to do better about posting and then I break those promises. So I won't make any such promise this time!

I wanted to give you all a little run down on a trip I recently took (and LOVED). Two of my sisters and my two best friends and I decided to make a run for the equator. To Costa Rica! We started planning pretty early and got tickets and such purchased. We stayed in Jaco (pronounced Haa-CO). I'm still not sure I'm saying that correctly. You should have seen the looks on the immigration officer's face when I pronounced it as it is spelled. I'm pretty sure he called me an ignorant American.

Anywho, we flew from Charleston because they had the better fares and schedules at the time that we booked. Charleston to Miami to Jan Santamaria Airport. Something happened on our flight and me and my bestie were asked to move to another seat. It was actually better seats than what we had. Since we were so accommodating, we were given some l…

Soup(er) Sunday!

This past Sunday I hosted a Crafty with Canon party. I won the party through House Party (I love this site!).

Initially I was planning to do a few different finger foods. Well, the temperature dropped and I wanted soup. And chili. So I made both! And my sister also made a soup that was super delicious. I used my usual go to chili recipe, except I doubled up the seasonings because I didn't have a chili seasoning pack. I think it actually tasted better! I made it in my electric pressure cooker! It was so much faster and it tasted better than it usually does. I'm in love with my pressure cooker and would like another one. Anyone have one they want to give me?

Anyway, we had fun exploring the Canon Pixma printer and printing out photos and making cute little frames! But the food was really the star of the show! I'm going to link to all of the recipes because aside from small adjustments, none of them were my own!
