Purex PowerShot and a Giveaway!

Things have been pretty hectic in the Land of Jones. I finally have my house listed for sale...I don't even know if I had told you all that I was doing that. But I am. Life's circumstances have me on the road to getting my ish together for the betterment of me and little boogie. In all of this, I've barely had time to breathe!

What do we always have to make time for? Laundry. Yes, laundry. I've told you guys before that I'm not a fan. I usually let my laundry pile up until I'm almost out of undies LOL. Horrible practice, I know. Judge me. These days I usually have a toddler either holding on to my leg or trying to throw things in the dryer. That's why this product is so awesome!

I told you about this Purex product here but now I've actually had the opportunity to test it for myself. Here is a video of me using it. It leaked out of the bottle a little during shipping but it was still in tact. Sorry for the mumbling! I was actually at my parents' house...so I was a little unfamiliar with this washer LOL. My clothes came out super clean...but that surely was helped by me adding two "shots" since I was expecting a little more detergent to come out.

Overall, the product was easy to use. I just didn't expect it to be uh hum a shot! LOL So my first load got a double! I was able to film this with one hand and pour the detergent with the other. I guess that's the big deal! Boogie was actually harassing her grandparents as I did the laundry so that was a big help!

You also still have time to ENTER THIS GIVEAWAY!!!

No measuring. No guesswork. No mess. I like it! I received the Mountain Breeze scent to test and I like the smell of it. It also is available in the Natural Elements Linen and Lilies scent. It offers just the right amount of detergent (super concentrated...hence the shot size) with 50% more stain fighting in every drop - vs. regular Purex liquid detergent. It refills the dispenser on it's own so seriously all you have to do is turn the bottle upside down. Just don't keep turning it like I did!

Would I buy this product? If it came in a free and clear version I probably would. I usually buy "club sized" detergent but I don't imagine that you could pick up a two gallon container and flip it with one hand. Nonetheless, I have a giveaway!

Enter below. Three (3) winners will receive a coupon for a free bottle of Purex PowerShot.

Thanks for stopping by!

Black Panther: Movie Review

Please tell me y'all have seen the movie? If you haven't, don't read this post!

Let me give you a little bit of my back story on this Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am a Marvel fan. I don't read the comics, but the movies?! I'm here for them. Some of them are blah, but I watch them anyway. Why? Because usually they overlap and share stories. So, in preparation for the opening of Black Panther, I watched ALL of the Marvel movies in order of the stories, not the release date. I followed CNET's guide and it was pretty accurate. I did not watch the TV shows because I would still be watching. You don't have to. The movies will fill you in pretty well.

Now, for what I thought.

1. This movie was beautiful! The colors, the wardrobes, the technology, the natural hair, the beautiful black people that starred in this film, it was amazing!

2. The women. OMG. The WOMEN! The strong women in the movie inspired me. Okoye makes me want to shave my hair back off. Nakia makes …

Pura Vida!

Hey y'all!

I keep making promises to do better about posting and then I break those promises. So I won't make any such promise this time!

I wanted to give you all a little run down on a trip I recently took (and LOVED). Two of my sisters and my two best friends and I decided to make a run for the equator. To Costa Rica! We started planning pretty early and got tickets and such purchased. We stayed in Jaco (pronounced Haa-CO). I'm still not sure I'm saying that correctly. You should have seen the looks on the immigration officer's face when I pronounced it as it is spelled. I'm pretty sure he called me an ignorant American.

Anywho, we flew from Charleston because they had the better fares and schedules at the time that we booked. Charleston to Miami to Jan Santamaria Airport. Something happened on our flight and me and my bestie were asked to move to another seat. It was actually better seats than what we had. Since we were so accommodating, we were given some l…

Soup(er) Sunday!

This past Sunday I hosted a Crafty with Canon party. I won the party through House Party (I love this site!).

Initially I was planning to do a few different finger foods. Well, the temperature dropped and I wanted soup. And chili. So I made both! And my sister also made a soup that was super delicious. I used my usual go to chili recipe, except I doubled up the seasonings because I didn't have a chili seasoning pack. I think it actually tasted better! I made it in my electric pressure cooker! It was so much faster and it tasted better than it usually does. I'm in love with my pressure cooker and would like another one. Anyone have one they want to give me?

Anyway, we had fun exploring the Canon Pixma printer and printing out photos and making cute little frames! But the food was really the star of the show! I'm going to link to all of the recipes because aside from small adjustments, none of them were my own!
